A Random Observation: Being Present

I am sitting here in my living room and it is 1am. With all of my housemates asleep I am able to be extremely aware of what is occurring around me. am completely present in my body and I can hear and feel things I may not normally have noticed with the constant chatter of that which we call life Here is a little of what I can hear/feel/sense/etc. as I sit here on the floor typing ♥ The sound of one of the ceiling fans is almost hypnotic in its constant whir ♥ I hear people snoring and I know exactly who it is based on past experiences ♥ There is a cool breeze coming in and it is brushing past the soles of my feet yet not keeping my feet cold. My shoulders, on the other hand, are extremely cool because of the constant cool air streaming from the ceiling fans ♥ The laptop I am using is making a slight buzzing noise which is nearly unobservable, however, the desktops fan is going around and around and around ♥ Our wind chimes are only getting hit by the wind every 5-10 minutes o so, very tiny noise comes, even when that occurs ♥ I am aware of how calm and relaxed my body is and I am almost inmeditation if it was not for me focusing on writing Take a shot… be present… right now… in this very moment. What sensations stir when you are focused on the present?

What happens to you when you’re being present?
